Estafette for Freedom

I have a free life, the country where I live is not in war, I can say what I want, I can walk where I want, I can think what I want, I can dress how I want and I don’t have to feel in danger.

All this feels very natural.

To remind us that this is not so natural and not in reach for every person in the world, we celebrate Freedom Day in the Netherlands on 5 May. First to remember the end of World War II, but now also to celebrate and fight for freedom for all people in the world. A lot of festivals are taking place this day all through the country. One of these festivals is Bevrijdingspop, a big music festival with 80.000 visitors.

And this year Bevrijdingspop can be heard in SL! The concert will be streamed to here live and photos of the events will be transferred and displayed directly to feel the atmosphere of the event! And more… Second Life will be showed during the event, there is a streamer of the RL crew in SL who will film and project this film by a beamer on a big screen! Where can you be more free to be who you want to be than in Second Life? We are going to show that with…

ESTAFETTE FOR FREEDOM

At a secret location the Bevrijdingspop will be streamed. At this place there is only room for a few people. To show as many different people from the world we are living in, every person stays just a few minutes at this place and then tp’s a friend who will stay for a while and so on. During the stay, the person will be filmed and be seen in RL. The big challenge is to show as many people as possible and to create a nice document of our big variety of residents.

Be prepared, dress your freedom, maybe you will receive a tp to take part in a semi-secret exclusive event where you can have your 15 minutes of fame and show the world who you are.

I have seen that face before

Grace Jones, a Jamaican-American singer, model and actress. The pop-diva of the 80’s. I immediately thought of her when I saw this picture of Jellix. Maybe because of her hair, that is wrapped around her face like a capucon, in combination with the dark skin and the sensual lips.

The fact is, that Jellix created a more softer look than the hard lines of Grace Jones. And the total image is romantic as the love song “La Vie en Rose“. The high black hat with the red flowers and feather works, while the glasses complete the look.

MOLINARO VISION at Romance Mall – Ecstasy City

Unfortunately the Vendetta Sim has been sold and is undergoing renovations. So you will not find MOLINARO VISION at that place anymore. 

But, I have found a nice new place! In the Romance Mall, Ecstasy City. The Romance Mall is a unique 6 floor indoor shopping mall only for women and is owned by Nikki Herrey, who has been very friendly during setting up the store. Beside shopping, the mall offers a nightclub and a fabulous restaurant with swimming pool on the roof terrace, where you can enjoy the spectacular view during dinner. 

In the neighbourhood are also many other nice spots for shopping and I spotted 2 fabulous lambourgini’s from Jenny Olbracht, a well known fashion writer of Modarazzi.

 

Gosh! Hope you did not think they were mine! Until now business is more fun than money!

Glasses like jewellery

That eyewear is only functional is past time. It has become more and more an accesoire to complete a fashionable look. Even sometimes eyeglasses are almost like jewellery. A perfect example of this is the ROSERIUM of the house of “Air“.

ROSERIUM is made with over 250 prims. They are mod/copy, which is good, you can simply stretch them to fit. 

 

The individual prims from the earpieces and connecting prims were modified move to make the glasses fit. So the ROSERIUM are not for the faint hearted! 

  

The one showed at the picture is silver, but the color can be changed easily by simply going into edit/ texture/ color.

 

The price of the ROSERIUM is 500LD if u take a look at the amount of work that is gone into it, and the fact it comes with a gorgeous ring, I think it’s worth it.

First step

I simply love eye-wear, not only sunglasses, but all type of glasses. That is why I am thinking to start an eyewear optique in Second Life. At this moment it is just a basic idea and this is just the first step to this idea.
