Estafette for Freedom

I have a free life, the country where I live is not in war, I can say what I want, I can walk where I want, I can think what I want, I can dress how I want and I don’t have to feel in danger.

All this feels very natural.

To remind us that this is not so natural and not in reach for every person in the world, we celebrate Freedom Day in the Netherlands on 5 May. First to remember the end of World War II, but now also to celebrate and fight for freedom for all people in the world. A lot of festivals are taking place this day all through the country. One of these festivals is Bevrijdingspop, a big music festival with 80.000 visitors.

And this year Bevrijdingspop can be heard in SL! The concert will be streamed to here live and photos of the events will be transferred and displayed directly to feel the atmosphere of the event! And more… Second Life will be showed during the event, there is a streamer of the RL crew in SL who will film and project this film by a beamer on a big screen! Where can you be more free to be who you want to be than in Second Life? We are going to show that with…

ESTAFETTE FOR FREEDOM

At a secret location the Bevrijdingspop will be streamed. At this place there is only room for a few people. To show as many different people from the world we are living in, every person stays just a few minutes at this place and then tp’s a friend who will stay for a while and so on. During the stay, the person will be filmed and be seen in RL. The big challenge is to show as many people as possible and to create a nice document of our big variety of residents.

Be prepared, dress your freedom, maybe you will receive a tp to take part in a semi-secret exclusive event where you can have your 15 minutes of fame and show the world who you are.

Koguma Kumaki released 2 new male glasses last week, and I love “Adna”, the combination of metal and horn is fantastic and give you guys a very handsome look. More a tough guy? I guess you will be a bigger fan of “Tsubacro“. Anyway, use the provided menu in the glasses and make them suitable for you. Get them in the mainstore of K_gs for 400 LD.

C’est Moi  released this simple but funy glasses, perfect to hold the summer feeling a little bit longer.

KUMAKI GLASSES STYLE

Koguma Kumaki released 3 new designs for K_gs, all well scripted as usual. “Almeja” are cute glasses with colored stones on the frame.  You can get a  special addition of these glasses as pick reward gift.  “Swallow” is one for the tough guys. And a big milestone…. glasses number 300 has been released: “Stones” with a celebration price of just 300 LD.

Cat reading glasses

Meow… very cute cat reading glasses on XStreetSL from Aslan Kish: Air Black Cat Glasses. Build up with 123 micro prims makes this glasses a jewelry piece again. New Releases: K_gs

KUMAKI GLASSES STYLE

While creating a new main store with a complete new look, designing eyeglasses was a little bit on second plan for Koguma Kumaki. But he is completely back on track! It looks like his new store inspires him more than ever and a lot of creativity has burst last week. No less than six new designs were released. And I must say, I become even a bigger fan of his glasses. The lenses of the female glasses become bigger and they give you a little bit more an attitude than his older designs do. All these releases are available in the main store of K_gs for only 400 LD and are of course well scripted to change the look of the glasses the way you want. And girls, more good news, the shades on the male model are unisex!

Trick or Treat..

Almost 31 October, a few days left to prepare yourself for Halloween and lay your hands on some special glasses!

Grazioso Alekseev: “*+Crie Style New Released+* This is Happy Halloween monocle ! By touching the lens you can change the lens colors into 6 different colors. Kumaki Glasses Style (K_gs) has a funny Happy Halloween mask, you can pick it up in the main store, also you can find some Pumpkin Glasses there. And by just crossing the street, you will enter NALA. At the luckyboard you will find these Halloween Masks. Try your luck!

For the picture, I choose the AIR_Abeille_II glasses. Not made especially for Halloween, but matching the theme perfect with the colors and insect.

On 10 October NALA will open her new mainstore, you will find her again opposite of K_gs. Moved: K_gs

K_gs has moved to a new place, time to update your landmarks and have a look at the brand new store! The store is much bigger than the old one and more clear. All vendors are updated with new pictures. And the 3 K_gs models are placed more central in the shop. You even can see Mode, Zepp and Modan modeling in the showroom. The shop seems ready for a long future with K_gs glasses. It is also a nice place to relax, the couches looks very welcome and are a perfect place to wait for your letter to turn on at one of the many lucky boards in the shop.

I immediately felt in love when I tried this new release of Kumaki Glasses Style: “Lilin“. The square design have the perfect measurements, big but not exaggerated. The frame has several color options, but my favorite is definitely this purple one, the small gold detail give the frame the finishing chique touch. Kumaki’s latest design is Est, it has a round/ovale frame and fits for male and female. With the glasses menu, you are able to change the colour of the frame (10 options and shine on/off) and the colour of the lenses (11 options) and depending on your mood you can turn them to different transparency levels (5 options and 4 glow levels). Feeling blue

Nibb Tardis updated the script in his PrimOptic glasses. If you want to be up to date, your glasses must have script version 1.19. And updating is as simple as one, two, three….  In the PrimOptic store you can find a free updater script for version 1.17 and lower. To use this script:

1) Put the glasses on the ground or wear them.
2) Right click the glasses and click Edit, and then click the Contents tab.
3) Copy the “primOptic updater script” from your inventory into the glasses.

After you receive your new glasses, delete the old ones.

If you have glasses with script version 1.18, they are most likely to be up to date, but to be sure, check the PrimOptic blog.

I like shopping at XStreetSL,  it is easy, no lag and it shows you items which you maybe would not have noticed in world. But which are gold! The free glasses of Socool Destiny, [SD Freebie 001] Glasses are such a suprising find. Socool Destiny is not an eyewear designer, these glasses are made to promote and demonstrate another product, the [SD003] Linked Prim controller Script. As you can imagine the glasses are well scripted and easy to modify in the way you want. Beside that, the design is not bad at all too!

KUMAKI GLASSES STYLE (K_gs)

K_gs presents two new designs this week. The Mirage for a tough guy look and the Little Steward for a more cute look. Although I think there are many more options and I am sure Little Steward can be a bad boy too. Be creative and set your own look, easy to do with the script menu, choose the colors and shining you like, for the frame, but also for the lenses. The price of both glasses is 400 LD.

KALNINS

Kalnins started a sculpted multicolor eyewear line, therefor all textured eyewear will have 40% discount. The HalfShutter is the first in line of the sculpted sunglasses. The glasses provide you a menu to control them for color, shininess, size, wearing positions and facelight. The price of these shutters is 500 LD.

Warhol

When you think about pop-art, you think about Andy Warhol and the different paint studies of celebrities. The repeating and the  color use make these paintings look simple. And with the introduction of photoshop so easy to copy, that people forget how great masterpieces these paintings are. However….. easy?

Kafee Iwish: “Some numbers ? I know you like them…. so 35 slides used for this pic, 42 with the different try, reorder in 4 folders; glasses, earring, face and background. 3 principal adjustments colorimetry (color adjustment so), level contrast and the one to separate the face level from black to grey by sequences named “seuil” (this one is terrible, I have to show you one day) hehe, some fusions too, ah yes and 37 beers; 23 Kronenbourg and 14 Heineken.. “

And that is exactly the strong point of  Warhol! You don’t see how complex his work is, you see the message and the image he want to show you without bothering you about the technique.

Leona Iuga gave me a sample of her glasses : -NALA-*ovum* (not edited in the picture), which has it’s beauty in the simple but strong frame design. And with the script menu, easy to change in different colors,  the frame but also the lenses.
